Ambitious About Autism are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Ambitious Fundraising Team.
If you can commit to 1-2 days a week and have professional experience relating to any of the three roles below, then we'd love to hear from you. The ideal volunteer will be someone who can work independently, has a fastidious eye for detail, quickly picks up new processes and enjoys contributing to a wider team.
Ambitious about Autism is the national charity for children and young people with autism. We provide services, raise awareness and understanding and campaign for positive change. Through TreeHouse School, Ambitious College and The Rise School we provide specialist education and support.
Role 1: Donor Stewardship Volunteer
Purpose of the role: To support the Fundraising Team by providing friendly, timely and appropriate donor care.
*Process donations; write and send thank you cards, reconcile payments with the Finance Team and record gift data on Raiser's Edge.
*Assist with the organisation of donor events; create and edit guest lists, send invitations, make name badges and table plans.
*Liaise with external contacts to make bookings, place orders and raise purchase orders.
*Help to coordinate mail outs; mail merges, envelope stuffing, printing address labels.
*Record all activity on Raiser's Edge; create and amend supporter records, add donations, upload documents.
Role 2: Database Volunteer
Purpose of the role: To support the smooth running of the Fundraising Team by maintaining donor records in Raiser's Edge with accuracy and consistency. To look for new ways to improve and implement best practice with regards to recording, sharing and monitoring donor information.
*Create and maintain donor records; input personal information, update old contact details and communication preferences, add new relationship records, upload documents, add actions and reminders.
*Add gift batches.
*Use queries to generate donor contact lists and run reports to review income.
*Participate in monthly Raiser's Edge meetings with ideas and feedback.
Role 3: Challenge Events Volunteer
Purpose of the role: To provide administrative support to the Community & Events Team at peak times of the year, ensuring that challenge event participants are adequately prepared and engaged in our work. This is an office based, week day role but applicants would be encouraged to help out at challenge events such as the London and Brighton marathons.
*Send welcome emails to new sign up event participants.
*Provide advice and tips on fundraising ideas and setting up online fundraising pages.
*Prepare and send out fundraising packs including t-shirts and running vests.
*Create and maintain donor records on Raiser's Edge.
