TPP Recruitment is working with one of the UK's largest charities to recruit a Fundraising Officer (Running Events) for a fixed term contract between January 2015 - August 2016.
If you're a self-motivated, experienced fundraiser or event manager looking for their next challenge then this is definitely the role for you. This household name children's charity is looking for a driven and ambitious individual to project manage their calendar of running events, including both the London and Brighton marathons. The post holder will have direct responsibility for delivering large scale, mass participation events and delivering excellent customer service to over 5,000 supporters, organising and inspiring them to raise over £4m. Given the strength of the charities brand among the UK general public and the number of people who therefore want to take part in challenge events for them, the post-holder should find this role a highly rewarding and fulfilling position.
Working with stakeholders of all levels of seniority, you will need to use your superb diplomacy and negotiation skills to build strong working relationships with individuals, volunteers and departments in order to further streamline and improve the project management process. You'll get the satisfaction of knowing that your work is inspiring thousands of people nationwide to get behind a very, very good cause.
Key responsibilities include:
*Project managing the running events cycle to hit substantial income targets
*Collaborating with teammates and various internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all running events run smoothly and professionally
*Marketing, evaluating and budgeting all events in the running events calendar, as well as stewarding participants in order to maximise their fundraising potential
