One of the UK's oldest children's charities is looking for a Fundraising Officer - Individual Giving. The post-holder will not only be responsible for the design and delivery of the organisation's traditional fundraising campaigns to the likes of corporates, local communities and individual donors, but also for growing the charity's social media presence by developing campaigns on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to drive engagement and raise vital income.
The scope of the role makes it a brilliant opportunity for any fundraising or direct marketing candidate who is looking to develop professionally. From managing corporate engagement campaigns to leading the charity's legacy programme to developing the twice-yearly fundraising newsletter, this position will offer you a chance to broaden your experiences across a range of income streams and mediums ahead of taking the next step in your career.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading and managing all fundraising campaigns, including Christmas, direct marketing and digital campaigns.
*Creating all marketing tools for fundraising, including supporting literature, newsletters and fundraising webpages
*Managing social media for fundraising, using a range of social networks to align fundraising objectives with external communications
*Using fundraising events as a way through which to raise awareness of the charity in local communities
*Managing challenge event places, recruiting participants and developing an online engagement around these activities
*Managing corporate partnerships, assisting commercial sector partners with their fundraising
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
*Success in meeting targets in a customer-focussed sales, marketing or fundraising environment
*Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and how these can be used to generate engagement
*Ability to plan and deliver multiple projects, often with conflicting deadlines
*Outstanding communication skills
*Great organisational skills
