|Contact Name||Volunteers team|
This is an exciting opportunity to gain solid fundraising experience whilst contributing to the transformation of the lives of young people who suffer severe emotional and psychological difficulties.
Childhood First is a charity which enables children and adolescents to recover from severe relational trauma, to enjoy life and to achieve their potential; we do this through the provision of specialist therapeutic residential care, treatment and education, together with family and network support.
We are looking for an individual to support our fundraising team, spending time working within all the different income streams; Trusts & Statutory, Corporate, Major Donors, Challenge Events, Community Fundraising and Legacy.
Typical tasks could include undertaking several different types of desk based research, Trust and Corporate proposals, and general fundraising administration. Further down the line there may also be the opportunity to develop the role to include specific projects depending on the skills and commitment levels of the intern.
In exchange for your time and your skills in research, excel and general admin you will gain an insight into working in the charity sector, a good quality experience of fundraising and access to the advice and support of our fundraising experts.
In addition we can offer travel expenses, free tea and coffee, and a small and friendly working environment.
Ideally we are looking for someone who can commit to at least 2/3 days per week for a sustained period of a minimum 6 months.
This opportunity will not involve working with children. There is flexibility of working from home.
To apply for this opportunity you must have the right to work in the UK. Please forward your CV and details of why you are interested in the role and your availability to SMalik@childhoodfirst.org.uk
Closing date: Tuesday 31 March 2015
