Job Description - EXPIRED

Fundraiser

I am currently working with a small educational charity with a coverage developing across the country.  It has ambitious plans to substantially grow its income over the coming years from existing and new partnerships.

Founded 20 years ago, this charity provides a service to young people in schools, by adding a high-quality supplement to the regular PSHE curriculum.  It brings volunteer couples to come and talk about their own very personal experiences. This helps the pupils to learn about long term relationships, and it helps them to get a realistic idea about how to make such relationships work.

The Role

The charity is seeking a Trust & Grants Fundraiser to work 1 day a week based at home. You will be responsible for researching, writing applications and stewarding of a portfolio of trusts and foundations. With the ability and experience to become actively involved in the development of their strategy for fundraising from grants, and proactive in its implementation.  Demonstrating the highest levels of customer service, you will manage our existing valuable relationships with grant givers and identify new trusts and foundations in order to grow our income.

About You

• Developing and managing relationships with current funders

• Researching and identifying a range of prospects and building a strong pipeline consisting of trusts and statutory funders

• To liaise direct with trusts and grant-makers, as part of the research, bid preparation and reporting process

• To contribute to the development of annual plans and budgets

• Identifying appropriate projects for funding and building persuasive cases for support

• Ensures that funders are stewarded at an appropriate level for their capacity

• To keep up to date with relevant trends, risks and opportunities in the sector
