This is a brilliant role with one of the world's most influential organisations. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Foundations, this position sits within the charity's Philanthropy Partnerships Team which encompasses both the Major Donor and Foundations teams.
An excellent communicator, you'll be a key player in the Foundations team, building long-term relationships with private, institutional, statutory and family foundation donors. Over the next five years, the Foundations team has very ambitious growth targets and you'll be integral in realising these so that the charity can reach more and more children worldwide.
You will have direct responsibility for maximising income through the prospecting, cultivation and long-term development of high-level relationships with foundations and trustees who are capable of giving between £25,000 - £100,000.
*To research and develop prospective trusts and foundations, building a pipeline of potential supporters and engaging them with the charities work, including by taking them out to visit the charity's field work
*To support senior stakeholders in the Foundations team, including Senior Foundations Managers and the Head of Foundations, with existing major partnerships
*Work alongside the organisation's Research hub in order to investigate prospective trusts and foundations as widely as possible in order to make sure that you're approaching the best contacts, whereby increasing chances of engagement
*Developing strategic, mutually beneficial relationships with key donors, providing them with excellent customer service so that it is easy to ask them at the right time for high level financial support
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
*Demonstrable interest in and experience of foundations fundraising
*Experience of producing a range of communications, including tailored presentations and bespoke reports, for a range of high value funders
*Outstanding communication abilities: you should be able to convey complex information in as clear as possible to motivate and engage key audiences
*Efficiency and effectiveness: you'll be resilient and flexible, able to respond quickly to unforeseen events
