If so an amazing opportunity has come up to work for Southwark Charities as a Finance Officer / sole Book Keeper three days per week.
This is a part time permanent role where you will be required to work every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
The salary per annum is £32,556 pro rata. A contributory pension scheme is available once the candidate has completed a satisfactory probation period.
The role will involve:
-The delivery of an in-house accounting service
-Transactional finance duties including: supplier management, credit control, ledgers, treasury and payroll
-Preparation of monthly cash reports and budgets
-Quarterly management accounts
-Annual statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors
-Degree qualified, and preferably at least part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
-Experience of using SAGE 50 or equivalent small business accounting software, and Excel
-Experience of effective budget management including purchase ledgers, cashflows, bank reconciliation and credit control
-Experience of preparing management accounts
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a small team
- Excellent communication skills
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of older people

This role will be closing on 22nd of February, 2017 and the interviews will be held week commencing 27th of February, 2017. Ideally, candidates applying for this role must be available to start in March.
