An award-winning, not for profit theatre company based in North London requires an experienced Finance Manager to manage all aspects of their accounts. The organisation has a very small team so this is a sole finance role, reporting to the Producer, who runs the organisation.
Finance Manager main duties;
-Processing and preparation of all financial information to determine budgets
-Processing of month-end and year-end tax
-Management of sales ledger, purchase ledger and general ledger
-Processing weekly and monthly payroll and liaising with HMRC and agents
-Dealing with debtors and creditors
-VAT and HMRC returns
-Managing petty cash
-Preparing year end accounts and liaising with auditors
Finance Manager requirements;
-2 years + experience in finance (essential)
-Experience of payroll and dealing with HMRC (essential)
-Flexible approach to working hours (essential)
-A keen interest in theatre and the arts (essential)
-Experience of working in a theatre or arts organisation (desirable)
-In possession of/studying towards accountancy qualifications such as AAT, CIMA, ACCA etc. (desirable)
The role is located within a few minutes of a Zone 2 station with great links and comes with an excellent benefits package, including free theatre tickets. The hours for the role are very flexible and can be fitted around your life requirements.
