This is a newly created post, which will bring together existing teams within the organisation for the first time. In addition to leading on the transforming financial management within the organisation, you will also be heavily involved in strategic development and bringing forward innovative ideas for diversifying funding.
This is a broad resources role in which you will work closely with the Chief Executive and SMT. You will oversee the delivery of sound financial and resource management, the development of new ideas for diversifying income and the mobilisation of resources to support the planned growth of the organisation. You will manage a team of 6, and be responsible for the following:
*Planning, directing and controlling resources across Finance, IT, Corporate and Legal functions
*The provision of sound financial advice to the Board and SMT
*Day-to-day financial management including the preparation of annual accounts, completion of monthly management accounts, preparation of financial information for grant applications etc.
*Ensuring effective internal office management to support the organisation in meeting it's objectives and income targets
*Working in partnership with SMT members to develop new services and functions, consider crowd-funding opportunities, and develop a resource mobilisation strategy for digital, campaigns, research and insight support work
*Leading on the development of a sustainable financial strategy, to support the refreshed organisational strategy
*Involvement in change projects relating (but not limited) to: global systems (CRM, membership services and those for other key internal processes), planning and value for money/procurement, facilities (including lease arrangements), risk management
To be considered for what is certain to be a challenging but very rewarding role, you will be Financially Qualified (or equivalent), with a track record in the management of a range of organisational service functions. You will be customer focused, and be excited by the prospect of playing a lead role in a wide-ranging organisational transformation project which will include changes to internal process and procedures, as well as significant changes to the organisation's financial strategy. The role will offer fantastic experience beyond the traditional Corporate Resources remit, and will provide a real opportunity to lead on the development of new income streams (with a particular focus on digital and crowdfunding). Experience in helping organisations achieve growth in this way will be desirable, however it is not essential - a candidate with fresh ideas and the ability to think innovatively would also thrive in this role. Experience of working in a not for profit or membership body would be desirable, but is not essential - applications from candidates from outside of the not for profit sector would be welcomed.
This is an excellent opportunity and has the potential to move quickly. It is anticipated that interviews will be held in early June 2015, but early applications are encouraged. To apply, please respond with an updated CV ASAP and a consultant from TPP's Senior Appointments team will be in touch with further details. Alternatively, please contact a member of the team for a confidential discussion.
TPP is committed to equal opportunities and actively encourages applications from all sectors of the community. We shortlist based on competencies and not on race, religion, sex, physical or mental disability, or age.
