A small NGO based in South London are looking for a full-time Finance & Office Manager. The NGO focuses on assisting journalists with legal aid and advice overseas.
The role will comprise 60% financial management and 40% office administration.
-Assisting with monthly management accounts at month-end, including creation of an Income and Expenditure account (reconciliations, restricted fund balances)
-Process monthly payroll, including recording payroll journal on SAGE
-Set up payments for grants - through online banking software.
-Record grants paid on both SAGE and GIFTS, the grants database
-Reconcile 'Grants Payable' account on SAGE to GIFTS, at month-end.
-Record invoices on SAGE and download them onto SignNow
-Update bank accounts on SAGE and reconcile all bank accounts at month-end
-Answering telephone enquiries
-Booking flights for lawyers
-Managing general email accounts and post
-Ad-hoc PA duties to the CEO
It is essential that applicants have experience in both a financial role and an administrative role as this role combines both. The role will report into the COO who is based abroad, so it is important that applicants are happy to work in an 'ad-hoc' environment with minimal supervision.
