Due to the nature of home care provision there may be a degree of evening and weekend work and the successful candidate may expect this to occur once a month on average; with the capacity to work more if necessary. Working in tandem with a second supervisor, this role may also require the candidate to cover shifts in the event of staff sickness and as such should be located locally, or within a reasonable distance to be able to access the area within short time periods. A full clean driving licence will be required.

Previous experience supervising staff in care is a must and the job demands a medication administration qualification; demonstrable knowledge of homecare work will be required. An NVQ level 3 or equivalent will also be a prerequisite.
