The role:

We are looking for someone to assist the Examinations and Training Manager,  managing the Faculty’s examinations and providing professional support to Faculty’s examiners;
You will be supporting the Director of Training and Examinations and Training Manager in the administration of the training programme.

Your role will be to :

-Contribute to the development of the Professional Standards team;
-Participate in Faculty meetings and events;
-Attend external meetings as appropriate
-Assist with the organisation and arrangements for committees and working groups;
-Develop and maintain networks with staff at other Faculties and Royal Medical Colleges and other partnership organisations, including the National School of Occupational Health.

Other duties include:

-To support the efficient and effective administration of examinations, including:
-Taking primary responsibility for the organisation of a number of Faculty’s examinations;
processing candidate applications and providing information to candidates about timetables and examination arrangements;
-Providing information to examiners concerning timetables and logistical arrangements for examinations;
-Assisting with the processing of examination results and preparing them for release;
-To provide first-line support to candidates raising queries relating to examinations and associated processes;
-To maintain accurate and up to date examination records;
-To manage the accurate preparation and despatch of examination certificates, including liaison with the calligrapher;
-To maintain the examinations section of the website;
-To support the efficient and effective administration of the speciality training programme, including:
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records pertaining to the recruitment, retention and status of all trainees;
- Supporting the Certificate of Completion of Training Process;
-To maintain accurate and up to date records pertaining to the appointment and term of office for Regional Speciality Advisor's;
-To provide secretarial support for meetings of the Regional Speciality Advisor's, being the main point of contact for RSAs;
-To deputise for the Examinations and Training Manager as required;
-To act in accordance with Faculty policies and procedures at all times.
