Job Description - EXPIRED

TPP are delighted to be working with a lovely, national charity which works to improve the opportunities of young people with autism.

This Events & Community Fundraising Officer position is an excellent opportunity for any fundraiser with solid events experience who is looking to move into a smaller organisation in order to further develop and consolidate their professional experiences by assuming a very broad range of responsibilities.

You'll be a business critical member of the Events & Community Team. Over the last two years, income from events and community sources has grown by 100% and our client is looking for a fundraiser who can continue this growth by recruiting even larger numbers of event participants, developing bespoke supporter journeys that will encourage these participants to grow into long-term donors and identifying and investing in new fundraising opportunities. The role is split roughly 80:20 between events and community fundraising, respectively.

In 2013-14, their Events & Community Team generated £600,000 and this is a very exciting time to be joining this organisation as they embark on the next stage of their business plan. Their 2015-18 strategy is in the early stages of its implementation and you'll really be able to make your mark on this by being a lead player in rolling it out, working to grow income over the next three years.

Key responsibilities:
*To manage all aspects of the challenge event portfolio, including budgeting, marketing, recruitment and the development of individual supporter journeys
*To manage strong working relationships with external event suppliers in order to negotiate the very best deals and services for the charity and with internal stakeholders in order to effectively involve all teams with events and community fundraising
*To develop and deliver the community fundraising strategy, analysing and segmenting current income in order to continue growth in this area
*To monitor the effectiveness and ROI on all events and community fundraising activity in order to suggest improvements year-on-year

The idea candidate will demonstrate:
*A proven track record in challenge event fundraising and project managing successful charity events
*Outstanding communication skills, able to deliver presentations, produce inspirational marketing collateral and make effective use of the charity's social media channels
*Experience of community fundraising and engaging local community audiences with a cause
*Sound knowledge and experience of providing outstanding customer service to donors and supporters
*A high degree of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and ideally Raisers Edge

Closing date: Monday 2 March 2015
