A leading UK disability charity is seeking an experienced Estates Manager for a new vacancy. Please note that the role is based in the following locations:
-70% travel nationwide to care home sites. Mainly in Essex, but also Middlesex, Herts, Norfolk, Suffolk, West Midlands and West Yorkshire
-30% home based
-One visit per week to the central office in Central London
The role will involve:
-Management of large scale, complex refurbishment and repair projects across multiple care home and residential sites
-Delivery of 'planned preventative maintenance' programmes and surveys.
-Responsibility for contract tendering, health & safety, budget management and final delivery of projects in the designated sites
The ideal candidate will:
-Have a Facilities Management/Buildings qualification
-Have expert level knowledge of Health & Safety issues
-Have proven high-level budgeting experience
-Be experienced in managing people, ideally remotely
-Have a solid background in Project Management in the work place - ideally c£300k+
-Be skilled in negotiating contracts and tenders
A UK driving license is a must for this role.
This would suit a candidate experienced in managing a large number of estates/buildings, capable of managing an ever changing and demanding workload. A background in managing large maintenance and refurbishment projects in the charity sector would be advantageous.
