TPP are currently working on behalf of a leading charity committed to helping disadvantaged people get back into work to recruit an Employer Engagement Officer responsible for the development of new employer business and the recruitment of 16+ year old learners. This will involve targeting and the placement of young unemployed people into employer placements within the agreed programme, such as Study Programme, Traineeships and Apprenticeships.
This is a permanent position paying £21,500-£26,700 per annum based in Haringey.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish excellent customer relationships with employers, schools, teachers, career officers and students ensuring the organisation is viewed as a preferred referral organisation. They will liaise with employers within their region and promote all the services within the organisation and engage with employed candidates offering the Apprenticeship Programme. Effectively account managing the employer ensuring consistent growth of new learners, up-skilling their workforce and providing excellent customer service.
*Ensuring own monthly starter volumes are achieved in line with contractual requirements and agreed annual targets set by the management team.
*Ensuring suitable employers and eligible learners are identified through the effective use of initial assessment
*Managing induction and initial assessments for all learners and employers, ensuring all are presented with all relevant information in line with current policies, procedures and practices.
*Promoting the organisations learning programmes and Apprenticeship career options at all appropriate school careers/options evenings, fairs, events and school assemblies.
*Generating a minimum number of vacancies for school leavers on the vacancies matching service per month.
*Ensuring that employers identified for programme participation are committed to offering employment and progressive training opportunities to learners.
*Managing all potential employment environments to comply with Health, safety and Equality legislative requirements and complete relevant health and safety paperwork.
*Liaising with the learners, Employers, Assessors, IQA's, Operations Manager and Skills Manager as appropriate.
To apply for this role you must has previous experience of working in a sales environment promoting government funded programmes ie Apprenticeships/Work placement activity to employers and be able to work competently with minimum supervision.
You will have good time management skills with the ability to work towards and meet deadlines, a high standard of customer service skills and the ability to communicate and motivate self and others in challenging surroundings.
A good standard of general education with Literacy and Numeracy to Level 2 is required for this role.
Experience and working knowledge of the youth market, 16-18 year old NEET's and knowledge of Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
