Job Description - EXPIRED

East End Community Foundation is looking for a committed individual to help expand and develop its Vital Signs research project. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or graduate to gain solid experience and develop their skills. You will support the charity to conduct statistical research on key social themes, market research amongst the local community and gain experience of developing content for various communication channels including, but not limited to, website and social media.

EECF will give you genuine responsibility and help you develop your transferable skills and your CV. Volunteering as part of a small, committed team, you can also expect to gain experience of all areas of our work and gain good understanding of all elements of the charity.

About East End Community Foundation
Working across Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham and the City of London, East End Community Foundation has been dedicated to increasing opportunities for people living in London's East End for 25 years. Through our own income and by managing charitable donations on behalf of others EECF delivers grant-making programmes that aim to raise educational achievement, enhance employability and increase social cohesion in order to improve the quality of life and opportunities for people living in our local community.

About Vital Signs
Vital Signs brings together statistical data and results from a local community consultation survey to provide a community ‘health check’. Defined by 10 social themes, the report benchmarks how the East End is performing in relation to the rest of the UK and is used as a tool to encourage and inspire local charitable giving. Now a global initiative, East End Community Foundation’s 2016 Vital Signs report will be released in October 2016 alongside other targeted giving guides from across the UK and counterparts around the world.

Could an internship lead to a job with EECF?
Sadly an internship role will not lead to a job offer as EECF is a small charity with a limited staffing budget.

For more information about EECF and this particular role, please see www.eastendcf.org.

To apply please submit your CV
(no more than 2 pages) and a cover letter detailing your research experience to admin@eastendcf.org before 16th May 2016, 5pm. Successful applicants will be called to interview 23rd May – 2nd June 2016 for a start date of 20th June 2016. The time commitment for this internship will be 3 days per week for 12 weeks; however, EECF are willing to be flexible for the right candidate. We regret that due to the large number of applications we expect to receive only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
