As part of an exciting year for a small family orientated day nursery in Fulham SW London, a need for a Preschool Teacher has arisen as part of continued expansion and growing number of children attending the nursery. This is a permanent position based in Fulham, South West London looking to pay £20k per annum.
They have just fully refurbished the nursery and have three bright light and homely playrooms for the children, and are looking for a qualified EYPs/EYTs or Preschool Teacher to join their friendly team in the next few weeks. Ideally they would be looking for the candidate to start ASAP. Successful applicants must show passion and enthusiasm for the job and be willing to learn and be a productive member of the team.
The Early Years Teacher would lead the preschool class for approximately 10-16 children aged 3-5. This is a full time position, times flexible (shifts) between the hours of 7am and 6.30pm but usually around 40 hours per week and most often 8.30 - 5.30 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
You will be required to report to the nursery head be responsible for a Level3 qualified TA.
Responsibilities will include:
Safeguard the children, including caring for them and supervising them at all times.
Liaise with and form strong partnerships with parents, including taking part in development progress review meetings and providing daily feedback to parents and carers.
Take on key worker responsibilities including, observing and planning for children's needs providing exciting and stimulating activities based on next steps for children.
Tracking children's progress.
Adhere to the Nurseries Policies and procedures at all times.
Key attributes of an applicant include:
Minimum level 3 EYP/ EYT qualification.
Organised, reliable and a good communicator.
Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS and early years outcomes documentation.
Creative and keen to use creativity and initiative around the nursery and to be involved in extra curricular activities and events.
Some experience of teaching phonics would be necessary as they use Floppy Phonics by Oxford Reading Tree.
