Donor Relations Administrator - Temporary

TPP are currently recruiting on behalf of a large housing charity; this role sits within the fundraising and Communications remit and they are seeking a candidate on a temporary basis from 16th November until middle of January 2016; for this role the successful candidate will have excellent customer services; and strong database skills; ideally in a charity environment.

To be responsible for supporter donations and enquiries, and updating the supporter database, supporting the efforts of the whole fundraising team.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience

  1. Experience of gift administration in the voluntary sector, with exposure to donation processing, importing data and communicating with supporters
  2. Experience of using Raisers Edge, or another fundraising database.
  3. Experienced in administrative systems and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  1. Confident, clear, courteous and thorough communicator – both orally and in writing. This role will involve considerable liaison with supporters - customer relations skills are essential
  2. Ability to prioritise and multi-task.
  3. Methodical style of work, able to be meticulous, with an eye for detail.
  4. A self-starter, capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team – assisting other members of the team at busy times.
  5. Ability to assimilate new skills and knowledge.
  6. Knowledge of and interest in the issues facing homeless people
  7. Confident and capable user of IT, including Word and Excel
