We have a fantastic opportunity to join one of the world's most prestigious humanitarian organisations.
As Disaster Management Coordinator for the West and Central Africa region you will have the chance to develop and advise on everything from localised security, response strategy and deployment operations.
Although the role is predominantly desk based (London) you will have the chance to visit your regions and can expect to be in-country up to 90 days per year.
Aside from the African region your remit will extend to several other territories including Bermuda and Montserrat.
On any given day, you could expect to coordinate the recruitment and deployment of field based specialists, build strong relationships with funding partners such as DIFID and work closely alongside the organisations extensive global network.
It's essential that you can speak fluent French and have extensive in-country experience within an emergency response context.
Due to the strategic nature of this role, it's also key that you have the ability to coordinate operations from HQ in London and are proficient in donor relations, including report writing.
