About the role
As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for leading the operational delivery of Safer London’s projects which focus on violence against women and girls and gang and serious youth violence. Their current portfolio of projects focuses on child sexual exploitation, harmful sexual behavior, domestic violence, mentoring and gang exit.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for the strategic and effective leadership for the organisation, currently standing at 68 staff, reporting on project activity and performance against target to the Board of Trustees. You will be able to maximize your experience, insight of the sector and creativity to shape the present and future of the organisation. Acting as an ambassador of safer London you will demonstrate their values in your actions and the quality of your work.
Through safer London’s strong partnerships with central and regional government, public sector, voluntary and community sectors you will be able to influence and be at the forefront of the changing landscape of social care.
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of commissioning and funding with experience of working with commissioners and business development teams. You will be required to demonstrate a career within the social care sector specialising within gangs, domestic violence or young people. Due to the nature of the projects you will be have exceptional knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures. A background in managing and developing community projects is also required along with budget management.
