ShelterBox are firmly established at the forefront of disaster relief. Founded in 2000, they have responded to almost 250 natural or manmade disasters in over 90 different countries and provided lifesaving aid for well over one million people. In 2014 alone, ShelterBox responded to 25 different crises around the world.
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced fundraising professional to lead the fundraising and communications directorate. The successful candidate will take responsibility for building, growing and maintaining a stable income, a large part of which is likely to be a direct marketing programme. The organisation has a burgeoning Major Gifts programme and this is expected to be a key part of their future growth.
This role has the support of a CEO who understands fundraising and is highly experienced in regular giving, providing you an environment to develop independently whilst being supported professionally. You will have five direct reports across two sites and a network of international affiliates. You will bring a strong branding mind-set with an excellent ability to segment, analyse and understand your target markets while staying true to core brand values and heritage.

• have the ability to draft and implement strategies that integrate more than one functional team
• have experience of managing complex budgets.
ShelterBox’s headquarters are in Helston, Cornwall. This role could be based either in Helston or their small London office. If working in London it will be expected to spend considerable time initially in Cornwall. Following this period, the majority of time could be spent in London.
Salary: c. £60k
