KIDS is the leading disabled children’s charity, supporting children and young people from 0-25, irrespective of their particular condition or impairment. Highly respected at both local and national government level, they are widely consulted around policy issues affecting families and young people.
The Director of Fundraising is responsible for the effective leadership and management of fundraising at KIDS which entails creating, developing and implementing a range of strategies. This is a very hands on fundraising role and the post holder will be expected to contribute significantly to day to day fundraising activities. The current key income streams are Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Events. This is a fantastic opportunity to review, reshape and grow the fundraising function at KIDS. There are ambitious plans to reduce the charity’s dependence on statutory income and double voluntary income.
Ideally someone with Fundraising Director experience, you will come with substantial Corporate and Trusts experience perhaps coupled with Events and Major Donors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this post which will be managing change.
