The IRC, founded at the suggestion of Albert Einstein, is an international charity responding to the needs of people escaping conflict and disaster. Working in more than 40 countries, IRC sets high standards for delivering emergency aid, protecting children, providing healthcare, preventing and responding to violence against women and girls, safeguarding human rights, and kick-starting economic recovery.
The European headquarters, IRC-UK, support the global activities, focusing on diversifying the donor base and advocating with policy makers. On a continuing growth path, IRC-UK now also provides technical and project support to global headquarters in New York.
At a pivotal moment in the development of the organisation, and with an ambitious strategy to be launched early in 2015, IRC-UK is now seeking a broadly experienced Finance professional. Leading the team responsible for Finance, HR, Office services, IT, and Risk Management, this will be a critical hire for the upcoming change programme.
The successful candidate will be CCAB Qualified (or equivalent) with significant experience of working at a senior, strategic level in a broad Corporate Resources or COO role. You will also have experience of working in a complex, ideally international organisation and of leading teams during periods of change, in addition to being adaptable, resilient and a team-player.
