An innovative awarding body are recruiting for a Director of Compliance and Operations to also act as their Responsible Officer looking at compliance and investment in new ways and not just looking at quality assurance in typical ways.
Liaising with all four qualification regulators in the UK you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory confidence in the AO, ensuring that the organisation is responsive to current and long term changes, responding to regulatory queries and ensuring regulatory compliance.
As someone who has excellent ideas around standards and is able to put forward their own ideas and debate and discuss these you will be instrumental in managing policies and procedures as well as operational systems and management.
They are open to someone from outside of the awarding body and ofqual sector in order to push new ways of working, so long as you an existing knowledge of, or are able to quickly pick up on the Business Excellence Model, ISO31000, and ISO9001.
This role will be ideal for someone who is "up and coming" who has existing line management experience as you will be responsible for leading the operations team as well as looking after international companies when required.
You will be a people person working across the organisation from business development through to customer service as well as working closely with working groups and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities and continuously drive improvement within the organisation.
If you are someone who understands risk as a whole, potentially from an audit, legal or regulatory background, and can inspire confidence across a small but progressive organisation by leading by example and taking ownership then this could be the role for you.
