TPP's client, established in 1960?s by parents of children with learning disabilities are looking to recruit a Director of Children, Young People and Family Services.
Our clients' aim is to lead the way within learning disabilities services for children, young people and adults. They are a bespoke charity, specifically tailored to offer services to their local community and neighboring boroughs. They plan to be the provider of choice for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities. They provide extensive services, these include; family support, nursery, play, youth, short breaks and domiciliary care. They place special emphasis on promoting relationships with families and consider this crucial to the successful delivery of their services.
At this cross roads, our client is looking for an inspirational, strong and focused Director to continue to oversee the operational delivery of the Children, Young People and family services and to strategically develop these services in line with the charities' vision and ethos. You will be directly responsible for the regulated operations such as disability short breaks, under 5's inclusive nursery, family support, after school and holiday play and youth programmes. As part of the wider executive team, you will have both operational and strategic responsibility across all of these services including maintaining and developing key relationships with commissioners and stake holders. You will also have responsibility of a budget in excess of £1.5M.

This job is fundamental to ensure that the services provided are designed to maximize opportunities for Children, Young People and their families.
To be considered for this role you will need to have a relevant professional qualification and to register with Ofsted as a responsible individual for regulated services. You will need to have a relevant senior management background in a related field such as; children with learning disabilities, short breaks and/ or residential services, Outreach support, youth and play. Considerable experience of service management, including experience of running and developing multi-site operations is essential along with financial acumen, excellent communications skills and a strong, inspiring and motivational approach to leadership.
