Job Description - EXPIRED

Energy and inspiration are the key qualities needed for Sense to reach out to more people than ever before. Working together; with people, partners and communities, is central to their strategy and absolutely core to the success of the Director of Business Development.

A strategic approach to partnerships is needed to ensure support and services provide help in the right places. Working across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, this post leads on the development of relationships and applications for funding. It needs an innovative and creative approach to expand services, to build new resource centres, and to share Sense's unrivalled expertise in deaf-blindness.

We are looking for an energetic and inspirational leader with:
*substantial experience of developing and taking to market new and innovative services in social care or a similar setting;
*confidence in talking to and influencing thinking at a commissioner level;
*a passion for social care and identification with Sense' values;
*strong business acumen and financial skills and an entrepreneurial focus;

Success will require a blend of relationship development skills and technical contract management. The post will be based in Birmingham, with some flexibility, and will require national travel and remote management.
To learn more about this newly structured opportunity, please contact Nick Billingham or Rob Hayter at TPP Senior Appointments.

Closing Date - Monday 13th July.

Initial interviews will be held with TPP between the 14th and the 21st July, with an assessment centre taking place on the 5th/7th August in Birmingham.

TPP is committed to equal opportunities and actively encourages applications from all sectors of the community. We shortlist based on competencies and not on race, religion, sex, physical or mental disability, or age.
