Development Manager, Permanent, £36,000 to £41,000 , Charity, London
A youth charity which encourages young people from poor socioeconomic backgrounds to challenge educational inequality through volunteering.
The charity is seeking an experienced Development Manager to grow its incomes from trusts, foundations and statutory funders. You will work closely with the Development Director with a focus on prospect research, pipeline and the development of relationships with potential prospects. You will lead on developing a trust, foundations and statutory fundraising strategy, meeting all reporting requirements.
You will have sound experience in trusts and foundations with the creative ability to set strategic direction in this area. This will be complemented by strong interpersonal, relationship building and presentational skills. Furthermore, you will have excellent writing skills with the ability to present arguments and write accurate reports. Finally, you will good financial acumen and are able to use spreadsheets to monitor budgets.
You will receive a generous salary of up to £40k, 5% employer pension contributions, 25 days’ annual leave plus two paid volunteer days and extra Christmas break holidays.
