TPP’s client, a renowned mental health charity is seeking a passionate and energetic Deputy Housing Manager to join their dynamic and diverse team.
Our client provides innovative services to people with mental health issues in the local and wider community; promoting awareness, tackling stigma and discrimination associated with mental health and offering a range of social inclusion, wellbeing and supported housing services across the community.
About the role:
As one of two Deputy Housing Managers, you will form part of the management team, working in collaboration with your colleagues to build and develop a Housing Standard to apply throughout the charity. You will lead on and take responsibility for the selection of new tenants in conjunction with housing support officers, social inclusion officers and external agencies.
As a member of the leadership team, it is important that you take an active role in ensuring tenants are regularly consulted and involved in service developments. You will be inspirational and motivational when leading your staff team along with being thorough and precise, ensuring supervisions are completed on a regular basis. As a Deputy Manager, you will be overall responsible for the day to day operations of the services, reporting into the Service Manager.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to have experience of housing management, including tenure and housing processes within supported accommodation. As you will be leading a team, you will need to demonstrate how you have experience of managing and motivating a small team of staff and/ or volunteers. A qualification in housing, social care or other related field is essential criteria along with a strong background in housing in general.
