A lovely, Watford-based hospice is looking for an energetic and ambitious Community Fundraising Manager who can hit the ground running and maximise income from community fundraising across Hertfordshire.

The post-holder of this position will be responsible for creating a strategy with the Events and Community Fundraising Manager to raise vital funds needed for the day-to-day running of the hospice from a variety of community sources, including individuals, community groups, local organisations and businesses, as well as schools and colleges. You must, therefore, be confident in approaching a wide variety of audiences and maximising their potential for a specific cause. The strategic element of the role will give the ideal candidate exposure to senior stakeholders within the hospice as well as the freedom to be innovative in the way in which they take its community fundraising forward.

Reporting to the Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you will work closely with an Events and Community Fundraising Officer as well as a Fundraising Co-Ordinator to generate circa £300,000 from community fundraising. You must have experience in planning, delivering and reporting progress of fundraising initiatives, be able to manage and organise events as well as building and using relationships to build community support.

Key responsibilities include:
*Contributing to the design and delivery of an organisational strategy for raising income from individuals, community groups and organisations, schools, colleges and some hospice-led events
*Recruiting and developing donors and supporters in the council areas of Watford, Hertsmere and Three Rivers
*Managing Community Fundraising projects
*Implementing a regular programme of community fundraising across South West Hertfordshire

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
*Excellent relationship management and communication skills, able to build profitable relationships with a range of different audiences
*The ability to be flexible and adaptable, prepared to attend external fundraising activities when required
*At least two years' fundraising experience as well as experience of managing events
*The ability to think strategically as well as to manage budgets and meet financial targets
