This charity is looking for a Communications and Media Manager to lead the development and delivery of their marketing, communications and engagement activities in support of the Foundations mission and strategy. And to build and maintain a consistently high and positive media profile for the work of their charities various campaigns. This is a very broad role require a candidate with a background in a similar position.
Minimum five years' experience in developing and delivering communications strategies
Presence and confidence to work with senior management and influence internally particular courses of action in the best interests of the Foundation
Experience of working with sensitive or complex and confidential issues
Proficient in writing, editing, commissioning and publishing accurate and appropriate copy for online and printed communications to a variety of audiences
Proven success in both proactive and reactive media handling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to influence in both mediums
You will have sound experience of working 'hands on' as part of a small team, in a supportive, flexible and friendly manner. You will also have experience of working autonomously, with a minimum of supervision, able and willing to refer or consult when necessary.
