A charity based in East London with over 25years experience of delivering work and career related programmes with schools, employers and young people are recruiting for a Programme Manager to work on a contract with a specific cluster of schools for at least a 6month period in order to support the development and delivery of a pilot programme supported by ESF/SFA funding.
As someone who has proven experience in managing relations with schools as well as engaging with employers and business volunteers within an education context you will be working alongside a fellow Programme Manager to identify careers guidance gaps in participating schools and colleges and seek to address them through the delivery of targeted programmes with the support of employers.
You will have a good understanding of the National Curriculum and agenda in relation to careers and schools in order to develop student friendly resources and materials which will enhance the careers provisions and develop new career related activities.
With proven communication and interpersonal skills including presentation delivery and the ability to adapt the way you work according to a variety of contexts you will help coordinate Cluster steering groups and employer sub groups and help to engage employers to embed activities into the charity's "menu of offer" to schools and contribute to the strategic objectives of the charity.
You will be able to manage projects against targets and associated budgets and be responsible for the collection, collation and submission of all management information in line with specified deadlines as well as ensure all appropriate evaluation mechanisms are established and collected as required.
