An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experience childcare Assessor to join a leading charity committed to getting people into Employment, Education or Training.
The successful candidate will deliver Childcare level 2 and the new level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification.
The role is based in London and will require some travel. It is a permanent position paying £22,500-£25,500. As an investor in people, the organization offers excellent benefits and development opportunities, including flexible benefits, Childcare vouchers and five weeks holiday.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Visit learners in the workplace and assess/tutor them in their NVQ/QCF qualifications and Apprenticeship framework including assessing their abilities in the Functional Skills of English, Maths and ICT to increase learners' continuous professional development.
Fully understand the NVQ/QCF National Standards for the qualifications being assessed, and must be aware of the differences between the levels qualifications/frameworks. Contribute to the on-going creation and development of materials and resources ensuring embedding of PLTS, E&D and Functional Skills.
Be able to interpret the knowledge requirements in ways that are appropriate to learners at all levels and providing motivation and on-going support.
Be able to assess by direct observation of the candidates' practice as specified by the evidence requirements and deliver frameworks to the agreed standard.
Plan, implement and deliver high quality initial assessments, inductions and reviews of progress with learners.
Ensure all delivery meets quality and performance standards set by IV's/Managers and Awarding Bodies.
Organising and attending client meetings talking through the benefits of the Apprenticeship qualifications, discussing and agreeing on the most suitable course for the individual and the company
Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and learners records in line with agreed and documented standards and systems and maintain documentation of learners' progression.
Monitor all learner's progression and ensure assessment is completed to enable learners to meet achievement targets for all sections of their programme. Ensure the learners e-portfolio is kept up to date (assessments/visits are uploaded within 48 hours) and utilise the monitoring and tracking systems in place.
Manage own caseload and diary.
Achieve targets set for starts, achievement rates and timely completion rates.
Build and develop relationships with Employers

To hold TAQA or A1/A2 (D32/D33) Assessor Award (E)
Experience assessing both Childcare level 2 and the new level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification.
