Are you interested in leading a ground-breaking initiative that has both national and international significance across the disability, arts and heritage sectors? The National Disability Arts Collection and Archive charts the landmark developments of the Disability Arts movement since its beginnings in the late 1970s when disabled artists started using art to reflect their experiences and to seek greater equality for disabled people. The curation of this predominantly digital archive has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is led by Shape Arts. NDACA CIC is the governing body of the archive and we are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills to fulfil the role of Chair of the Board. Can you give some of your time, expertise and experience to work with the rest of the board to develop NDACA CIC into a strong and sustainable organisation which will be able to take on the long-term management of the archive in two years’ time? Ideally you will have leadership and management experience in the business, arts, heritage, or disability sectors, as well as experience in board work and business planning or fundraising.
Please note this is an unpaid role, although reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. For further information about the archive, this position and the application process, including a description of the role and a person specification, please see http://www.ndaca.org.uk/Job+Opportunities
