A vocational training charity focusing on teaching and employing young people and service leaders in sustainable buildings refurbishment and horticulture are currently recruiting for a Business Development Officer on full time, permanent basis to generate applicants from young people and ex-service personnel.
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for managing the learner selection and enrolment process, including building partnerships with local organisations and attending events to attract potential students.
This is a field based role with an office base in West Sussex, you will be expected to meet individual and team targets and earn a commission of £30per trainee who starts the programme on top of your £21k starting salary. You will also be expensed 35p per mile for travel required for the role.
The key responsibilities of the Business Development Officer role include:
Completing and managing learner registration paperwork process
Managing the recruitment process including interviews and assessments
Managing quality and accuracy of candidate data
Producing reports for management regarding
Helping to create and maintain detailed registers to manage new starts, leavers and progressions and to inform relevant agencies
Managing external events, military and NEETS recording the outcome of interest.
Updating database with all activities relating to candidates and partner relationships, to be kept up to date at all times.
Working with external partners in order to provide effective Information Advice and Guidance throughout the selection process.
Abiding by Ofsted, QCF and company regulations at all times, ensuring that portfolios and learner files satisfy awarding body criteria.
Criteria for the Business Development Officer role includes:
Minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent including English and Maths at grade C or above
Experience recruiting students on to apprenticeships or training courses, or a role with transferable skills
Knowledge of the vocational education and training sector
Desirably- IAG qualification, Military understanding/background, Own vehicle with business insurance
