A globally recognised professional membership body and awarding organisation based in New Malden, near Wimbledon are recruiting for a highly ambitious Business Development Manager to be involved in the development of becoming a world class leader of education services.

You will be part of the newly created UK Leadership Team and contribute to the achievement of the organisation's global business objectives providing education services to the higher and further education sector as well as the corporate world.

These will include accredited qualifications, e-learning, online exams and assessments, vocational short courses, training programmes and other innovative membership benefits.

Key responsibilities of the Business Manager role will include:
Successfully lead and deliver on the sales strategy, driving growth by increasing student registrations and recruiting new tuition providers
Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with tuition providers, universities and regulatory bodies
Establish both annual and monthly sales objectives in conjunction with the strategic business plan
Provide an annual sales plan and weekly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan as necessary
Coordinate the specific objectives of the sales plan and the functional departments of the company - most specifically with the Marketing, Finance, Education and Product Development teams
Establish and prioritise individual country market plans.
Manage the needs of customers and stakeholders in order to meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies
Spend time in the field both with and key prospects/Influencers including government officials, educational leaders and existing customers
Keep up to date with market/industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies

Essential Criteria for the role include:
Understand and have a clear interest in the academic sector, including online developments such as e-learning and mobile apps
Experience of working closely and at the most senior levels with academics, universities, governments, regulators and/or relevant customers in home markets.
Substantial experience of sales and relationship management with excellent communication and presentation skills within the HE & FE sector.
A natural team player as well as a 'hands on' dynamic and inspiring sales leader
Significant experience of over achieving in international sales & Account Management
Delivering key value metrics, planning, budget and customer retention programmes
Analytical with experience of using 360º sales metrics Miller Hyman, SPIN management performance systems or similar for lead qualification, benchmarking and key performance indicators (KPI) including risk analysis
Experience of working with a sales forecasting / CRM system i.e. Salesforce.
