A large and leading professional body are currently recruiting for an Assessment Manager until the end of 2015 whilst a permanent role is developed.

The Assessment Manager will be responsible for developing and managing assessments, ensuring that they meet deadlines, quality standards and budgets.

This role will also include managing the people and processes around the development of assessments and related examination materials, as well as the post examination processes.

All examinations will take place in a computer testing environment so candidates must have experience in working in this type of style.

Main responsibilities of the role include:
*Manage and deliver a designated aspect of examinations and assessments to agreed standards and timelines.
*Work with colleagues in to continually review and enhance the examination provision
*Form excellent internal working relationships to effectively and efficiently coordinate activities with other units, ensuring that KPIs are effective and meet both operational and strategic objectives
*Ensure Faculty contracts are in compliance with standard contracts for services and agreed within budget
*Ensure that the expectations of key stakeholders (particularly students) are managed in an efficient and timely manner
*Ensure that all assessments are prepared and delivered to the goal of zero defects
*Responsible for the end to end planning, implementation and delivery for a designated aspect of examinations, monitoring the performance of relevant item banks and taking corrective action as needed.

The key skills and experience required for the Assessment Manager role include:
*Understanding of examinations and assessment within an educational context
*Experience of paper based assessment, in terms of both assessment design and examination delivery in a high-stakes environment.
*Experience of developing new paper based exam programmes
*Experience of refreshing and modifying existing paper based exam programmes
*Preferably experience of producing exams translated into other languages
*Proven experience in a related higher education, awarding body or professional body setting
*Evidence of continuous professional development essential
