A leading regulatory body are currently recruiting for a full time interim Assessment Manager to cover a period of permanent recruitment for the role (for which the interim candidate can also apply).
You will be required to start ASAP and you will be expected to ensure secure delivery of the full range of business processes, inspiring confidence amongst the senior contributors to the system and leading the team with confidence.
You will also be able to lead and manage the development of the qualifications in response to a major review that will be completed next month. Those changes are set in the context of the significant regulatory reform which is anticipated over the next two years and which will give greater prominence to centralised assessments system overall.
Responsible to the Director of Education and Training for developing and educational assessments and provide assessments expertise, informing the wider development of regulation policy relating to education & training.
Main duties include:
*Develop and deliver educational assessments
*Provide assessments expertise, informing the wider development of regulation policy relating to education and training.
*Direct line management of the Assessments Team to ensure that their performance is monitored, assessed and developed in line with the Performance Management Process;
*Contribute to the development of policy in the regulation of education & training, providing effective policy input in relation to the role of assessments:
*Manage the recruitment and training of Examiners and other officers required for the effective delivery of the assessments;
*Provide executive support for the Examinations Boards and their Chairs;
*Ensure effective liaison and coordination with other stakeholders in the assessments;
*Ensure high standards of accuracy and confidentiality, and equality of treatment of assessment candidates;
*Manage complaints and appeals in relation to assessment decisions, making decisions in relation to matters that fall clearly within the scope of BSB rules and policies, and referring those that do not;
*Lead and manage the development of systems and processes to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the assessments;
*Prepare and manage the annual budget required for delivery of the assessments;
*Promote assessments amongst stakeholders;
*Contribute to the development of wider regulatory policy, as a member of the Education & Training management team
Essential Criteria for the Assessment Manager position:
*Assessment management in a higher education context
*Delivering multi-faceted projects to specification
*Relationship management, relevant to the facilitation of effective committee decision-making;
*Planning and managing a budget
