Our client, a leading charity in supporting people with mental health issues are seeking a part time Art Therapist who is interested in developing their career in the field of mental health. About the role:
As an Art Therapist, you will be working creatively to help service users explore their artwork, to be able to assess the needs and develop interventions of service users, to work with various parties to provide a range of art therapy interventions.
You will work alongside adults and young people experiencing mental health problems in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating art therapy assessment and intervention.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and running of the art therapy service, including managing the referral process and ensuring the planned delivery of art therapy sessions; managing the timetable for art therapy trainees and volunteers; developing and maintaining art therapy stakeholder relationships with CCGs, funders, schools and partner organisation, universities etc.; marketing art therapy services to community mental health teams.
To be considered for this role you will be a Health and Care Professions Council registered Art Therapist. You will also have experience of working therapeutically with children, young people and adults with mental health issues; have commitment to developing relationships with people with complex needs and ongoing mental health issues, excellent communication skills, and have a positive attitude.
The role will be based at an Art Therapy service in Camden, Central London.
