TPP's client are looking for an Advice and Support Officer to work with young female care leavers, aged 18 to 25 who have been in care and are seeking expert help in finding work.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of dealing with vulnerable women to deliver a brand new outreach programme. Your role will involve providing clear and effective advice to care leavers and support them in overcoming their barriers to employment. You will work closely with our Care Leavers Recruitment Consultant who will responsible for placing candidates into jobs.
You will be required to build and maintain long-term professional relationships with candidates and ensure that they are supported throughout their journey to employment. You will need to be absolutely committed to these relationships, and be resilient enough to coach them into their challenging transition into work.
Many of the candidates that work with this client have criminal convictions, have experienced sexual and domestic abuse, and may have suffered negative experiences of working with support services. To succeed in this job, it is essential that applicants are approachable, non-judgemental and excellent at communicating.
