The UK's largest provider of health and wellbeing services are now recruiting a Senior Health Improvement Practitioner / Youth Education Coordinator to work within their Youth Education Team, playing a key role in leading the design and delivery of the charity's sexual health education programme to young people across Essex.

As part of the team servicing Essex, the role will be home based but you will need to have the ability to travel regularly throughout the whole of Essex, working in the community. There is also an office base in Essex as an option.

This is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term contract until end of March 2023. The annual salary is £29113.

As the Senior Health Improvement Practitioner, you will lead the design and delivery of effective 1:1 outreach sexual health promotion interventions for young people aged 13-24, with a focus on Relationships Sex and Health Education (RSHE). You'll design and delivery high quality, inclusive RSHE sessions in a variety of settings and formats including pupil referral units, schools and alternative education providers for example.

You will have some line management responsibility of outreach workers in this role, so good people management skills or a keen willingness to learn these will be important.

To be considered you will have substantial experience of working with young people, vulnerable groups and hard to reach communities. You will have experience of developing education programmes for young people and will have excellent facilitation and presentation skills for small and large groups of people. An understanding of the school RSHE curriculum will be an advantage.

In turn, the charity can offer you a hybrid approach to home working and working out into the community, along with an excellent opportunity to develop your skills leading programmes for young people.
