A charity who provide vital help to homeless people are recruiting for an experienced Work and Learning Coach to cover a short term, part time contract until end of Jan 2020.
Salary: £19,419 for 21 hrs (about £32k FTE).
You will need to be available to interview on 30th October and have a notice period of no more than 2 weeks.
The role is 21hrs per week (flexible over the working week). You must be willing to travel by car across South Yorkshire for day to day outreach delivery. You must also be available on Monday mornings to attend outreach meetings with colleagues in the head office.
The role and requirements:
As the Work and Learning Coach, your role will develop and deliver a high quality coaching and IAG service for a case load of homeless and vulnerable adults experiencing unemployment. You will deliver outreach working within hostels, community centres and public spaces. You will use appropriate assessment tools to identify circumstances and barriers in order to inform the client's support needs and will support them in pro-active job search including training in job search skills and well as one to one support writing CVs and making applications.
To be considered, you must have experience successfully using IAG and job coaching approaches for vulnerable people such has the homeless or those who are socially excluded. You should hold an IAG qualification and will understand the barriers unemployed people, in this case, homeless people, face in accessing training and employment. You will also need to have exceptional communication skills to liaise with a range of people and agencies.
