The Springfield Project is a charity based in the heart of Sparkhill, Birmingham that stems from St Christophers Church, Springfield. We provide a range of services and programmes which aim to combat poverty and help people to lead happy and healthy lives. We aim to help show God's love in our community through practical service and action.
We have a website built on Wordpress and a key part of this role is to update the site and contribute to its development. Wordpress experience is essential.
The role could also involve having some responsibility for our internal noticeboards which are a key way of communicating with those who use the building. It could also involve designing flyers or using social media.
This is an unpaid volunteer role involving communication and publicity at the Springfield Project in Sparkhill, Birmingham. We want to communicate with service users and the local community about our activities using our website, advertising and social media.
We would like a volunteer who could give half a day or a day every week to the role. Or it could be a block of time for a few weeks. Most of it could be done from home with perhaps an occasional meeting in person.
This role could be ideal for someone who has recently gained a communications or creative qualification and would like to get some practical experience to help them to get a job.
