Reigate and Redhill Live at Home Scheme are a charity based in Redhill, that supports older people to remain in their own homes. We rely heavily on Volunteers to help with our services and have a number of opportunities available:
- Volunteer Drivers - if you could be available for approximately a minimum of 3 hours per month or per week if possible taking into account time at the venue. However, some of our drivers drop them off and return when the event has finished; but drivers are welcome to enjoy coffee and cake or lunch on the shopping trips.
Ideally, we need transport for our coffee mornings once per month at different venues and our shopping trips collecting members from their home to The Belfry at Redhill.
We will need to check your driver's documentation.
- Volunteer Chefs at the Redhill Club to cook once a month for approximately 25 people on a Wednesday. You would need to complete a food hygiene course online, which takes approximately 2 hours.
- Befriending requires a minimum time of 1 hour per week at a mutually agreed time to visit a member that is lonely and/or isolated to sit and have a friendly chat and a cuppa with. They are needed in all areas, but particularly Horley as we have a long waiting list there for a befriender.
If you are interested in applying for any of these volunteer roles, please visit www.reigateandredhill.org for more information or call Tanya Stafford, Live at Home Manager, on 01737 780 610.
