The RNLI has a network of local fundraising teams organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea. Each team is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the members themselves.
Becoming part of your local fundraising team could offer you an opportunity to improve your CV, meet new people, learn new skills or just have fun with fundraising in your community. Some of our members have been volunteering for many years, some just join us for a few months – whatever their commitments allow.
Are you a whizz with figures? Do you love completing spreadsheets and enjoy balancing the accounts? Can you make figures tell a story? If so, we have a role for you.
Our Farnham fundraising branch is looking for a treasurer to ensure it complies with financial procedures and the recording of income/expenditure of fundraising events and activities.
If you have an eye for detail, enjoy record keeping and have or would like to gain financial accounting experience then this role is for you. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
This is a great opportunity to really make a difference by raising vital funds for our volunteer crew members and lifeguards.
