Role Tales Fundraising Researcher
Supported By Tales Artistic Leader
Main Purpose To support the Tales from the Shed team with essential research
We are looking for someone with good research skills to support our children’s theatre project, Tales from the Shed which is currently expanding and reaching new audiences across London due some fantastic partnerships with the V&A, National Gallery, the Luton Hat Factory, The Old Vic and more!
Tales from the Shed are vibrant, interactive theatre shows for young children (0-6 years old) where the performers and audience share the same space using puppetry, dancing and live music.
We need a volunteer to collate and prepare a list of possible funders and corporate sponsors to support this fantastic expansion of Tales from the Shed. This list will then be handed onto our Fundraising team to make approaches.
The role with include:
- Researching new and innovative fundraising streams: online, trusts, corporate giving etc.
- Researching prospective funders to approach, identifying new fundraising ideas
- Liaising with the Tales creative and artistic team to gain a better understanding of our work
- Helping to collate information for applications, proposals and reports to support Chickenshed’s Fundraising team.
Reliability, good research skills and a confident knowledge of computers are essential in order to be able to fulfil the role. It would suit a volunteer with some experience of Trusts / Major Donor Fundraising or knowledge of fundraising within the arts, although this is not necessary
A willingness to embrace the inclusive ethos of Chickenshed and to operate within Chickenshed policies and procedures, including health and safety, equal opportunities, confidentiality and safeguarding policies
Support will be given where necessary
Times and Commitment
This role would suit someone who could give at least 2 hours per week
