Would you like to be part of a happy band of volunteers that are helping to save lives at sea without even getting wet? Could you get involved in inspiring visiting groups of children, young people and adults when they visit St. David’s Lifeboat Station by giving tours, delivering key water safety messages and providing excellent customer service in the shop?
Volunteering as a member of the St. David’s Lifeboat Station Shop and Visits Team means playing an important role within the charity. A message given and funds raised today could mean a life saved tomorrow
In this role you will give inspiring guided tours of the lifeboat station to young people and adult groups, presenting our vital water safety messages alongside promoting the work of the RNLI to motivate the next generation of RNLI supporters. You will liaise with the other volunteer team members and together you will ensure that the visits do not impact negatively on operational procedures at the station. You will also help serve customers in the shop.
In this role you will have the opportunity to meet lots of new people and develop your communication and presentation skills. Ideally you will have experience of working with young people and possess strong team working skills alongside good communication and a willingness to be proactive in the community. If you possess or would like to develop these qualities we would love to hear from you.
Just as we give all our Lifeboat crews the right training and equipment to carry out their lifesaving work, we provide all of our volunteers with the necessary training and support to carry out their role effectively.
Please join us in making a difference to the safety of people of all ages.
