“I helped raise funds and awareness for the RNLI at a world renowned sporting event!”
Whether you are looking to improve your CV, meet new people, learn new skills or just have some fun volunteering, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the RNLI’s life saving work by cheering on our runners at one of our largest fundraising events – the Great North Run in Newcastle on Sunday 13th September 2015
We are looking for volunteers who are outgoing and enthusiastic people to volunteer as part of a Volunteer Cheering Team at this exciting event. You will be spotting RNLI runners and giving them a huge cheer to motivate them onwards towards the finishing line. On the day you will meet with like-minded volunteers at our cheer station, marquee within the charity village or post-race reception at South Shields Sailing Club where you will be kitted out with an RNLI t-shirt, cheering materials and information to support all the RNLI runners in the Great North Run and answer any queries regarding the RNLI.
It’s a fantastic day out - if you haven’t seen the ‘Great North Run’ live now is your chance to soak up the atmosphere and help the RNLI at the same time.
You do not need to have any prior knowledge or involvement with the RNLI, just a willingness to help us ensure our runners receive the support they deserve. It’s a wonderful day to be involved in!
