This leading HMC co-educational School seeks to appoint VOLUNTEER metadata indexers of digital AV material to work with an enthusiastic and professional AV and IT team.

The successful candidates will re-create lost digital AV metadata on digital files of educational resources. The work involves using thumbnails to assess the priority of each file, and then viewing and analysing the higher priority files to create their titles and content keywords in a Planet eStream database.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals who are looking for a good introduction to working with digital material as well as those interested in careers in indexing, metadata, information science, KIM, information security or archive work.

The posts are VOLUNTARY but travel expenses can be paid up to the value of a London travelcard and a free cooked lunch can be provided.

Hours are to suit the candidates from one to five days per week.

The role is open-ended until the work is complete.

The closing date is Tuesday 7th January 2020 at 13.00

Please refer enquiries to nicola@archivesalive.co.uk and send a cv and covering letter to waddingtonn@alleyns.org.uk

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Alleyn's is an Equal Opportunities employer.
