The Grants Coordinator will work closely with Anza’s grants team and project managers to conduct the full range of activities required to prepare, submit and manage grant proposals.

Every low and middle income family in Tanzania has the opportunity to improve their livelihoods through the access to appropriate products and services provided by a network of social businesses.

You will be responsible for

  • Researching and compiling information on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospective funding sources
  • Writing effective and compelling grant applications tailored to the funding criteria and values of grantmakers
  • Editing proposals written by the international grants team
  • Managing international grants team (volunteers), assigning them research & writing tasks & providing them ongoing support
  • Stewarding existing donors and preparing timely and accurate reports for funding organisations
  • Additional fundraising activities as required

Selection Criteria

  • Experience in proposal writing
  • Experience in relationship management with institutional donors
  • Knowledge of research techniques for funding prospect research
  • Excellent written communication skills, and able to communicate to a variety of audiences
  • Close attention to detail
  • Strong editing skills
  • Demonstrated competence in management of multiple responsibilities in a time-sensitive environment
  • Hard working and dedicated
  • Empathy and high commitment to Anza’s mission and organisational values

The Appointment

As part of this position you will have multiple opportunities for personal and professional development. Opportunities include gaining extensive experience in volunteer management, learning pipedrive CRM software, development of transferable soft skills such as cross-cultural competency and experience managing the procurement of funds to sustain organisational operations.
