Volunteer Fundraiser– Bookham, Leatherhead, Fetcham & Effingham, Surrey
The RNLI has a network of local fundraising teams organising a wide range of activities and events which last year raised £14 million to save lives at sea. Each team is supported by a Community Fundraising Manager, although the range and frequency of fundraising events is determined by the team members themselves.
Becoming part of your local fundraising team could offer you an opportunity to improve your CV, meet new people, learn new skills or just have fun with fundraising in your community. Some of our team members have been volunteering for many years, some just join us for a few months – whatever their commitments allow.
Do you want to volunteer in your local community? Do you want to have fun assisting at fundraising events and activities, but prefer to be a team player rather than a team leader? If so, joining our Bookham & Leatherhead fundraising team may be just the fit for you!
As a Volunteer Fundraiser you should enjoy meeting and talking to people, or want to develop these skills, and want to be an ambassador for the RNLI in the local community. Your friendly and welcoming nature will be put to good use helping with High Street and supermarket collections in Bookham, Leatherhead or Fetcham. For a collection we ask each collector to give two hours of their time collecting donations and generating support within the local community.
This is a great opportunity to really make a difference by raising vital funds for our volunteer crew members and lifeguards.
This is a volunteer opportunity within the RNLI. RNLI volunteers are people who, unpaid and of their own free will, contribute their time, energy and skills to support the purposes of the RNLI. RNLI volunteers may perform a variety of tasks and duties, under direction and guidance, using their skills, knowledge and time to help the RNLI best achieve its objectives.
We respect and honour our volunteers by building trust and understanding. Such a partnership is not intended to be a legally binding contract or to have mutuality of obligation, but instead express a voluntary two-way commitment where everyone gains satisfaction from being part of our organisation.
